Premium Services Regulations

The main purpose of this Regulation is to set out particular obligations on licenses Service providers and their subsidiaries in relation to Premium Services. This Regulations include cross-references and paraphrased summaries of relevant provisions contained in other laws and regulatory instruments, including the Telecommunication law, the By-law, the Consumer Protection policy , the Advertising law code and the licenses. This Regulation aims to further improve and enhance consumer experience in the telecoms sector through: a- Introduces measures to effectively manage complaints about premium Services; b- Assures Consumers there are clear and effective rules in place to support consumers wanting to unsubscribe from a Premium Service; c- Ensures Consumers know exactly who they are dealing with ( and have relevant contact details) when they use Premium Services; d- Assist licensed Service providers and Premium Service Providers in understanding and implementing their obligations when offering Premium Services and in protecting Consumer; e- Provide clarity on how the Authority will examine potential contraventions of the Regulation and deal with these in terms of ARF.
