CRA launches a consultation on Construction Procedures and Standards of Cellular Mobile Base Stations and Towers in Qatar

These Procedures and Standards would apply to all licensed service providers, who would need to construct Cellular Mobile base stations and Towers in Qatar

The Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) launched today a public consultation on the construction procedures and standards required to be followed by licensed telecommunications networks and service providers for constructing cellular mobile stations and towers in the State of Qatar.

Through these procedures and standards, the CRA hopes to define high-level technical criteria, and ensure the relevant stakeholders adhere to health, safety and environmental criteria, in relation to the general construction principles to be applied to Cellular Mobile Base Stations and Towers, Sites and associated infrastructure.

The CRA intends to revise the procedure and standards and issue a final version, taking into consideration all the received comments, views, and subjects that the stakeholders would like to be addressed and/or clarified in a revised procedure and standards.

All stakeholders and interested parties are invited to review this consultation document and provide their comments and views to the CRA by September 8, 2014. Comments have to be submitted by email to: raconsultation@ict.gov.qa.
