In response to comments received during a public consultation conducted by the CRA over the period November 9, 2017 to January 4, 2018, the CRA has amended the Class License for the Provision of Public Telecommunications Services On-board Aircraft (first published on March 17, 2014).
The main amendment is the removal of the restriction on Internet services being provided on-board Aircraft flying below an altitude of 3000 meters above sea level. The altitude restriction, however, remains for the provision of mobile services for voice, data, and SMS services on-board Aircraft flying below 3000 meters.
