Qatar Participates in the Plenary Session of the Council of Administration of the Universal Postal Union

A delegation from the State of Qatar, headed by H.E. Mohammed Ali Al-Mannai, President of the Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) participated in the plenary session of the Council of Administration of the Universal Postal Union (UPU), which was held on Friday, April 27, 2018 in Bern, Switzerland.

The agenda of the session discussed a number of topics related to the postal sector, including ways of cooperation between the related institutions in the sector, as well as reviewing the work done by different committees. The discussion also included the forthcoming UPU Extraordinary Congress, which is to be hosted by the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa in September 2018, under the umbrella of UPU.

"Our participation gives us an opportunity to communicate and exchange experiences and learn about the latest global trends and developments; also, to enhance our cooperation with other related government institutions and international organizations, which contributes to ensuring the development and growth of the sector locally and internationally," said H.E. Mohammed Ali Al-Mannai, President of CRA.

On the sidelines of the session, H.E. Mohammed Ali Al-Mannai, President of CRA met with Mr. Bishar Abdirahman Hussein, Director General of UPU and discussed ways to enhance cooperation and strengthen relations between the State of Qatar and UPU.
