The CRA has formulated Quality of Service Regulatory Framework for raising the minimum requirements for the Key Performance Indicators, support the competition, ensure transparency, and give the consumer the opportunity to choose the appropriate Service Provider that suits their needs.

 

The regulation includes a monitoring and an audit process to achieve this objective. Service Providers will be submitting periodic/bi-annual reports to reflect the QoS performance.

By issuing the Quality of Service Regulatory Framework, the Communications Regulatory Authority will:

 

  • Raise the minimum requirements for the Quality of Service key performance indicators and add new obligations to service providers.
  • Support competition between service providers for better Quality of service.
  • Reliance on various tools to measure the Quality of Service to raise service providers' compliance level.
  • Ensure more transparency by the service provider about the Quality of Telecommunications Services.
  • Give the customer the opportunity to choose the appropriate service.
